The City That Built Us—Now Let’s Build It Together
“I owe so much to Edmonton—and I’m ready to give back with everything I’ve got.”
— Sandeep Singh
My name is Sandeep Singh, and I’m running to be
your next City Councillor for SSPOMITAPI (Ward
12).
I’ve proudly called Canada home for 27 years.
Edmonton is where I’ve built my life, raised my
family, and dedicated myself to community service. This city has given me so much—and now I’m ready
to give back in a bigger way.
For over a decade, I’ve stood shoulder to shoulder
with workers as a union representative—fighting for
fairness, safety, and dignity on the job. I’ve
supported newcomers finding their footing, and
worked with families and local businesses to help
them grow and thrive.
That commitment to service has been recognized in
ways that deeply humbled me. In 2000, I was
honoured by the Brockville Police Service for
outstanding service and unselfish assistance. A year
later, I received one of the highest civilian honours
for bravery—the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission
Medal—for an act of extraordinary courage and
selflessness. These experiences remind me that
leadership means stepping up, even when no one
asks—and always putting others first.
My campaign is rooted in fairness, inclusion, and
opportunity. I believe every resident deserves a
voice at the table—and a City Hall that listens and
delivers.
Whether it’s safer streets and schools, better transit
and infrastructure, or real support for youth and
small businesses—I’m here to bring real,
community-driven solutions.
I’m not a career politician. I’m your neighbour—and
I’m ready to serve.
Practical skills. Real solutions. Stronger community.
Represent Ward SSPOMITAPI on City Council.
Courage That Speaks for Itself
🏅 Brockville Police Honour (2000)
Awarded for outstanding public service and unselfish assistance.
🏅 Carnegie Hero Fund Medal (2001)
One of the highest civilian honours for bravery in North America.
These aren’t just awards—they reflect a life built on courage, compassion, and community service.
Every Edmonton family deserves to feel safe, supported, and heard.
I imagine a city where opportunity is within reach for everyone, where hard work is valued, and where no one is left behind — no matter their background or income.
I’m not a career politician. I’m a working Edmontonian, just like you. I’ve built my life through hard work, and I’ve seen how strong communities rise when we stand together.
My vision is simple:
A united Edmonton where families thrive, voices matter, and the future is built by all of us — together.
A LOCAL VOICE FOR SSPOMITAPI
For the past 3 months, I’ve been working on my campaign with one clear focus: People want a local candidate who lives here, understands our issues, and will always be your voice at City Hall.
I believe City Hall should listen more than it talks. I’ll make sure your concerns are heard and acted on, bringing practical solutions and clear thinking to every decision, through regular town hall meetings: both in person and virtual, creating plain
language communication and acknowledging underlying concerns.
We need to feel safe where we live, work and play. I’ll focus on practical steps such as sustainable street lighting to deter crime and help everyone see clearly, especially at intersections and in parks. Making sure our roads, crosswalks, sidewalks are safe for kids walking to school, seniors out for a stroll and everyone getting around.
Smarter city spending means making your tax dollars go further. That means longer-lasting road repairs, energy-saving LED streetlights, and
upgrading infrastructure—like water pipes—before it breaks. It’s about planning ahead to save money and improve daily life for everyone.
